Interior Detailing · Santa Rosa Beach & 30A

Beach life happens.
Inside the car, mostly.

Sand in the carpet, sunscreen on the leather, salt on the trim, snacks everywhere — a Gulf Coast interior works hard. Whitlow Detailing resets it to new-car standard in your own driveway, from Santa Rosa Beach across 30A to Destin.

The Interior Standard

Clean you can
breathe.

An interior detail done right is closer to restoration than cleaning. Sand doesn't vacuum out of carpet — it has to be brushed loose from the fiber backing and extracted, pass after pass. Sunscreen doesn't wipe off leather — it has to be broken down with the right chemistry, then the leather fed and sealed. Salt haze on interior glass, grime in every vent and seam, the sticky ring in every cupholder: each one has a correct tool and an order of operations.

That's the difference between the $30 "interior included" line at a wash and a detail from a professional working on his own name. Every switch, seam, and seat rail gets attention. Cloth is shampooed and extracted hot. Leather is cleaned, conditioned, and protected. The car doesn't just look clean — it smells like nothing at all, which is what clean actually smells like.

Most clients pair interior work with exterior in The Executive package — the full inside-and-out reset — but interior-only service is available for the cars that need it most: family haulers, dog cars, and anything that just came back from a beach rental summer.

FAQ

The questions every
30A interior raises.

Can you get sand out — actually out?

Yes, and it takes more than a shop vac. Sand works into carpet backing and seat rails and comes back for weeks if it isn’t extracted properly. We use stiff brushes to release it from the pile, compressed air for the rails and seams, and repeated extraction passes. It’s tedious, which is exactly why quick washes skip it.

What about pet hair?

Pet hair is its own line item because it’s genuinely hard — it weaves into carpet fibers and laughs at vacuums. We remove it with rubber blades, dedicated brushes, and patience. Mention it when you book (there’s a spot for it on the form) so the schedule allows the time to do it right.

Do you shampoo seats and carpet?

The Deep Interior Restoration includes hot shampoo and extraction on carpet and cloth seats, steam where it’s the right tool, and proper leather cleaning and conditioning on leather. Sunscreen, salt, sweat, and spilled coffee all come out far better with extraction than with the spray-and-wipe most services call "shampooing."

How long does an interior detail take?

A reset runs about an hour and a half; a full restoration is typically three to five hours depending on condition — a family SUV after a beach summer is a different job than a commuter sedan. You’ll get a time estimate with your quote, and the work happens at your home so you don’t wait anywhere.

Sunscreen marks on leather and trim — fixable?

Usually, yes. Sunscreen is one of the toughest coastal stains — it bonds to leather coatings and plastics and turns gray-white streaks shiny. We clean it with dedicated products that break it down without stripping the finish, then condition and protect so the next application wipes off instead of soaking in.
